Which program is right for me? Here you should find some information toward determining which of our programs is right for your situation.
Early Intervention (EI)
Our EI program is our signature program. It is created for children ages 6 and under, and the ultimate goal of this program is to help children with deficits and needs catch up to their peers in time for kindergarten. The younger your child gets started, and the more intensively we work, the better our chances are to achieve the outcomes we all desire.
One-on-One
Our one-on-One Program is geared toward children who need a little additional support, typically after school. This is the right program for kids in public or private school who just need a little push or something to supplement their school hours.
School
The Florida Autism Center has a small private-school program that is appropriate for children who are in greater need of behavioral training, self-care and daily-living skills, and social skills training than they are in traditional academics.
How else can you help?
We offer parent training to every family involved in our service, regardless of program. We hope you take us up on it! We will also help families with transition services into a mainstream classroom when the child is ready, assist you periodically with skills training in the community (e.g. making your grocery store trips easier or holding a therapy session at a park to practice some newly learned social skills).
In addition to these things, we provide professional practicum and supervision for students of behavior analysis. The Florida Autism Center, through a partner, is also pleased to provide consulting services for language acquisition skills training and other behavioral skills to areas school, pre-schools, and agencies.
